About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Aircraft Structures Technician to join their engineering team in Portsmouth . You will be responsible for performing high-quality structural repairs and modifications on a variety of aircraft, ensuring the integrity and safety of the airframe. This hands-on role requires precision, adherence to technical specifications, and a strong commitment to aviation safety standards. Working within a collaborative environment, you will contribute directly to the airworthiness and longevity of aircraft.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural inspections, identify damage, and carry out repairs to airframes using various materials (metal, composites).
• Interpret engineering drawings, repair schemes, and technical manuals to guide repair work.
• Utilize specialized tools and equipment for structural work, including riveting, drilling, and welding (if applicable).
• Ensure all structural repairs meet airworthiness regulations and company standards.
• Maintain accurate records of all structural maintenance and repair activities.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to ensure seamless workflow.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Aircraft Structures Technician or similar role.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding aircraft structural drawings and repair schemes.
• Skilled in working with sheet metal, composites, and associated repair techniques.
• Knowledge of aviation regulations pertaining to aircraft structures.
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently, both independently and as part of a team.
