About the Role

Our client, a reputable aviation maintenance facility in Stoke-on-Trent , is seeking a skilled Aircraft Structures Technician . You will be responsible for the repair, modification, and maintenance of aircraft airframes and structural components. This hands-on role is critical to ensuring the airworthiness and structural integrity of the aircraft under our client's care. You will work within a dedicated team of aviation professionals, adhering to strict safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural repairs and modifications on aircraft airframes using approved materials and techniques.
• Inspect aircraft structures for damage, corrosion, and fatigue, identifying areas requiring attention.
• Read and interpret structural repair manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Fabricate and fit structural components as required for repairs and modifications.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain detailed records of all structural maintenance and repair activities performed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Aircraft Structures Technician or Sheet Metal Worker in the aviation industry.
• Strong understanding of aircraft structural materials and repair techniques.
• Proficiency in using sheet metal tools and equipment, including power tools and forming equipment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and repair manuals.
• Good problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to diagnosing and rectifying structural issues.
