About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Aircraft Structures Technician to join their maintenance team in Portsmouth . This hands-on role is essential for ensuring the structural integrity and airworthiness of various aircraft. You will be responsible for performing inspections, repairs, and modifications to aircraft airframes and associated components, adhering strictly to technical specifications and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft structures, identifying damage, corrosion, or fatigue.
- Perform repairs and modifications to aircraft airframes, wings, and other structural components using approved methods and materials.
- Interpret engineering drawings, repair schemes, and technical manuals accurately.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company procedures and aviation safety regulations.
- Document all maintenance and repair activities meticulously in the aircraft logbooks.
- Collaborate effectively with other maintenance technicians and engineers to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Aircraft Structures Technician or similar role.
- Demonstrated ability to work with various aircraft materials, including aluminum alloys, composites, and composites.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and workshop tools.
- Strong understanding of aircraft structural repair techniques and safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and repair manuals.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
