About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Aircraft Structures Technician to join their maintenance and repair team in Bristol . This hands-on role involves inspecting, repairing, and maintaining the airframe structures of various aircraft types, ensuring structural integrity and airworthiness. You will work with a variety of materials, including composites and metals, using specialized tools and techniques to perform high-quality repairs. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical aptitude, a commitment to precision, and the ability to follow detailed technical specifications to uphold the highest safety standards in the aviation sector .

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect aircraft structures for damage, corrosion, and fatigue using visual and non-destructive testing methods.
• Perform repairs and modifications to airframes, including sheet metal work, composite repairs, and bonding.
• Read and interpret structural repair manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Fabricate and fit structural components according to specified tolerances and standards.
• Document all repair work performed, parts used, and measurements taken in the relevant maintenance logs.
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with regulatory requirements and company safety policies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Aircraft Structures Technician or similar role.
• Proficiency in sheet metal work, composite repair techniques, and structural assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical documentation and engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with various aircraft materials, including aluminum alloys, composites, and titanium.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Must possess or be able to obtain necessary security clearances for working within an aviation environment in Bristol .
