About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and diligent Aircraft Structures Technician to join their maintenance facility in Stoke-on-Trent . This hands-on role is vital for maintaining the structural integrity of aircraft, ensuring they meet rigorous safety standards. You will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and fabricating aircraft structures. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong practical skills, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of aviation safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect aircraft structures for damage, corrosion, and fatigue, utilizing appropriate tools and techniques.
- Perform repairs and modifications to aircraft structures according to approved technical data and company procedures.
- Fabricate and fit structural components using a variety of materials and tools.
- Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) where required to assess structural integrity.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities performed on aircraft structures.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Aircraft Structures Technician or in a similar structural repair role.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting aircraft structural repair manuals and drawings.
- Skilled in using hand and power tools for metalworking and composite repair.
- Familiarity with various aircraft materials such as aluminum alloys, composites, and titanium.
- A strong understanding of aviation safety regulations and adherence to strict quality standards in Stoke-on-Trent .
