About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Aircraft Structures Technician to join their busy maintenance facility in Portsmouth, Hampshire . You will be responsible for the repair, modification, and maintenance of aircraft structures, ensuring airworthiness and structural integrity. This hands-on role requires a keen eye for detail, proficiency with various tools and materials, and a strong commitment to safety and quality in the demanding aviation environment. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will play a vital role in keeping aircraft operational and safe.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and modifications to aircraft structures, including fuselage, wings, and control surfaces.
• Interpret structural repair manuals, blueprints, and engineering drawings accurately.
• Utilize a variety of hand and power tools, including riveting guns, drills, and welding equipment.
• Conduct inspections to assess structural damage and ensure all repairs meet quality standards.
• Fabricate and fit new or replacement structural components.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Aircraft Structures Technician or similar role.
• Proficiency in working with various aircraft materials such as aluminum, composites, and titanium.
• Ability to read and understand technical documentation, including structural repair manuals.
• Skilled in riveting, sheet metal work, and composite repair techniques.
• Strong understanding of aviation safety procedures and best practices.
• Physical ability to perform the demanding tasks of the role in Portsmouth .
