Aircraft Structures Technician

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Aircraft Structures Technician to join their operations in Newcastle upon Tyne . In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the inspection, repair, and modification of aircraft structural components, ensuring the integrity and safety of the airframe. You will work as part of a dedicated team, applying your technical expertise to maintain aircraft to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural inspections using visual, NDT, and other approved methods to identify damage or defects.
• Execute repairs and modifications to aircraft structures, including sheet metal, composites, and bonded components.
• Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and repair schemes.
• Fabricate and install structural repairs according to approved data and procedures.
• Document all work performed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Ensure all work complies with aviation regulations and company quality standards.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as an Aircraft Structures Technician or similar role.
• Proficiency in working with various aircraft materials, including aluminium alloys, composites, and polymers.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, technical orders, and repair manuals.
• Experience with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Must possess or be able to obtain relevant security clearances.
