Aircraft Structures Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Aircraft Structures Technician to join their maintenance and repair team in Bradford, West Yorkshire . In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the inspection, repair, and maintenance of aircraft airframe structures, ensuring compliance with strict safety and quality standards. You will work with a variety of materials, including composites and metals, utilizing precision tools and techniques. Key Responsibilities

• Inspect aircraft structures for damage, wear, and corrosion, using visual, non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
• Perform repairs to airframes, including patching, riveting, bonding, and welding, according to approved data.
• Fabricate and install new structural components as required.
• Interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and repair schemes.
• Document all inspection and repair activities accurately and completely in the aircraft logbook and maintenance records.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to resolve structural issues efficiently.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Aircraft Structures Technician or similar role.
• Proficiency in working with various aircraft materials such as aluminum alloys, composites, and honeycomb structures.
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments, power tools, and specialized repair equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in aircraft structural repair.
• Strong understanding of aviation safety regulations and maintenance procedures.
