Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and skilled Aircraft Structures Technician to join their dedicated team based in Southampton . This role is essential for maintaining the integrity and safety of aircraft airframes through meticulous inspection, repair, and modification work. You will be working with a variety of aircraft types, ensuring all structural components meet rigorous aviation standards. Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural inspections, identifying any defects, damage, or corrosion on aircraft airframes and components.
- Execute repairs and modifications to aircraft structures using approved methods, materials, and techniques.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals to guide repair procedures.
- Ensure all work performed complies with company procedures and regulatory requirements, such as those from the CAA .
- Operate specialized tools and equipment required for structural repairs and fabrication.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of all inspection and repair activities undertaken.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to ensure efficient and effective structural maintenance.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Aircraft Structures Technician or in a similar aircraft maintenance role.
- Proficiency in interpreting aircraft structural repair manuals and technical documentation.
- Skilled in working with various aircraft materials, including composites, aluminum, and steel.
- Experience with sheet metal work, riveting, and welding techniques relevant to aircraft structures.
- Strong understanding of aviation safety standards and practices.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a workshop environment.
