About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled and dedicated Aircraft Structures Technician to join their maintenance team in Glasgow . This role involves performing repairs, modifications, and maintenance on aircraft airframes and structural components to ensure airworthiness and structural integrity. You will work with a variety of materials and techniques, adhering strictly to technical specifications and safety protocols. This is an excellent hands-on opportunity for a qualified technician to contribute to the safety and efficiency of aircraft operations within a leading aviation organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect aircraft structures for damage, wear, and corrosion, performing necessary repairs and modifications.
- Carry out structural repairs using approved methods, materials, and techniques.
- Fit and assemble structural components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs, modifications, and inspections conducted.
- Operate and maintain specialist tools and equipment used in structural repair.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Aircraft Structures Technician or similar role.
- Skilled in metalwork, composite repair, and riveting techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications.
- Strong understanding of aircraft structural integrity and materials.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Awareness of health and safety procedures relevant to an aviation maintenance environment.
