About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Aircraft Technical Author to join their documentation team in Norwich . This role is responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating a wide range of technical documentation, including maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and operational guides. You will work closely with engineers and subject matter experts to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with aviation standards. This position in Norwich is vital for ensuring that maintenance and operational information is precise and accessible.

Key Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and review technical documentation for aircraft systems, maintenance procedures, and components.
• Ensure all documentation adheres to relevant industry standards (e.g., ATA iSpec 2200) and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality assurance departments to gather necessary technical information.
• Manage document revision control, publication, and distribution processes.
• Develop illustrations, diagrams, and other visual aids to enhance document clarity and understanding.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Technical Author , preferably within the aerospace or aviation industry.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong command of technical terminology.
• Familiarity with technical documentation standards and publishing tools.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and complex technical data.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
