Location: Corby, Northamptonshire
Salary: Competitive daily rate

Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only
Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a dedicated and resilient Alternative Provision Teaching Assistant to join a specialist setting in Corby. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people who may have experienced challenges within mainstream education.
The successful candidate will provide support to students with a range of social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, helping them re-engage with education, develop positive relationships, and overcome barriers to learning.
The Role
- Supporting students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
- Assisting with classroom activities and learning.
- Supporting students with behaviour and emotional regulation.
- Building positive and trusting relationships with young people.
- Encouraging engagement, confidence, and positive attitudes towards education.
- Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff to support individual needs.
- Helping to maintain a calm, structured, and supportive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with young people in education, care, youth work, support work, or a similar setting.
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach.
- Confident supporting students with challenging behaviour and SEMH needs.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers and succeed.
- Psychology graduates, youth workers, support workers, and aspiring teachers are encouraged to apply.
