Appliance Installation Engineer - Portsmouth

About the Role

Our client is looking for a reliable Appliance Installation Engineer to join their established team in Portsmouth . This role involves the professional installation of domestic appliances, such as washing machines, ovens, and refrigerators, into customer homes. You will ensure that each appliance is fitted correctly, safely, and efficiently, providing a high level of customer service throughout the process. This is a field-based role requiring excellent practical skills and a customer-centric approach within the Hampshire area.

Key Responsibilities

• Install domestic appliances including cookers, washing machines, dishwashers, and refrigerators.
• Connect appliances to existing water, gas, and electrical supplies safely and correctly.
• Test installed appliances to ensure they are functioning correctly and efficiently.
• Advise customers on the proper use and maintenance of their new appliances.
• Respond to service calls for minor adjustments or corrections as needed.
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area and ensure all packaging is disposed of responsibly.

Requirements

• Previous experience in appliance installation or a similar hands-on trade.
• Knowledge of domestic plumbing, electrical connections, and gas safety (Gas Safe certification is a plus).
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately, with attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers.
• A valid UK driving license and willingness to travel within the Portsmouth region.
• Physical capability to lift and manoeuvre appliances.
