Application Security Specialist

About the Role

You will work closely with development teams to embed security best practices, conduct security testing, and mitigate vulnerabilities in custom-built and third-party applications. Key Responsibilities

• Integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Perform security code reviews and vulnerability assessments for web and mobile applications.

• Develop and implement security testing strategies, including SAST, DAST, and IAST.
• Collaborate with development teams to remediate identified security vulnerabilities.
• Provide guidance and training to developers on secure coding techniques and application security principles.

Requirements

• Experience in application security, secure software development, or a related security field.
• Strong understanding of common web application vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10) and their mitigation.
• Familiarity with secure coding principles and practices across various programming languages.
• Experience with security testing tools and methodologies.
• Knowledge of cloud security principles and their application to hosted applications.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with development teams.
