Applied AI Engineer/Data Scientist | London | £90k + Equity | Pre-Seed FinTech

OB have recently partnered with a London-based FinTech currently raising their pre-seed round , looking for an experienced AI/Data Science hire to join their small team as they enter their next stage of growth.

This is very much a build, ship and own environment.

You'll be working on the hard problems behind financial data automation, extracting and matching information often from messy, unstructured data.

The technical challenges include:

• Confidence scoring & threshold calibration
• Building evaluation infrastructure and harnesses
• Designing structure in an inherently ambiguous environment

They're AI-native from the ground up , treating LLMs as infrastructure rather than simply adding AI features to an existing product.

The ideal background:

• 3+ years shipping applied ML/AI into production
• Strong Python
• Proven hands-on experience with LLMs in production
• Experience in FinTech, LegalTech, Insurance or another regulated environment
• Comfortable with ambiguity and high levels of autonomy

The opportunity:

• 3-4 days a week in London
• Join at the very beginning of the company's growth journey
