Apprentice Carpenter and Joiner

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated individual to train as an Apprentice Carpenter and Joiner in Derby . This is a hands-on apprenticeship where you will learn the craft of carpentry and joinery, from basic woodworking skills to complex structural work. You will gain practical experience on various sites and in workshop environments, mentored by experienced tradespeople. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical tasks, is detail-oriented, and wishes to pursue a skilled trade with excellent career opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the cutting, shaping, and fitting of timber and other materials.
• Learn to construct and erect frameworks, partitions, and staircases.
• Install windows, doors, and other architectural elements.
• Read and interpret carpentry drawings and plans.
• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain tools and ensure a safe working environment on site.
