This role offers a comprehensive apprenticeship, allowing you to learn all aspects of carpentry, from framing and finishing to understanding architectural drawings. You will work alongside experienced tradespeople on diverse construction projects, developing essential skills and contributing to the creation of quality structures. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the construction and installation of wooden structures, framing, and fixtures.
• Learn to read and interpret carpentry plans and blueprints accurately.
• Safely operate and maintain hand and power tools relevant to carpentry.
• Assist in fitting and installing doors, windows, staircases, and cabinetry.
• Ensure work areas are kept clean, organized, and safe at all times.
• Support senior carpenters with various site tasks and project requirements.

Requirements

• A keen interest in learning the carpentry trade .
• Good physical fitness and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions.
• Understanding of basic health and safety regulations on construction sites.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to travel to different work sites in and around Portsmouth as needed.
