About the Role

Our client is seeking motivated individuals to join their team in Nottingham as an Apprentice Carpenter . This apprenticeship provides a structured path to becoming a skilled carpenter, combining practical on-the-job experience with formal training. You will learn to work with wood and other materials to construct, install, and repair building frameworks and structures. This is a hands-on role for individuals who enjoy working with their hands, possess good problem-solving skills, and are committed to delivering high-quality craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist skilled carpenters in framing, roofing, flooring, and finishing work.
• Learn to measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials.
• Install doors, windows, cabinetry, and other structural components.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all site safety regulations.

Requirements

• A strong interest in carpentry and construction.
• Good manual dexterity and an aptitude for practical tasks.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
• Basic understanding of measurement and mathematics.
• Willingness to attend vocational training courses.
