About the Role

Our client is offering a fantastic opportunity for aspiring electricians to join their team as an Apprentice Electrician in Plymouth . This role is designed for individuals who are keen to learn the trade of electrical installation and maintenance. You will work under the supervision of certified electricians, gaining hands-on experience with wiring, testing, and fault finding in residential and commercial settings. This apprenticeship provides a structured path towards becoming a qualified electrician, with a strong emphasis on safety, technical skills, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation of electrical systems, including wiring, conduits, and containment.
• Learn to test electrical circuits and equipment for safety and functionality.
• Support in diagnosing and repairing electrical faults.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams and building plans.
• Ensure all work complies with current IET Wiring Regulations and health and safety standards.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work vehicles, and keep work areas tidy.

Requirements

• A strong interest in electrical work and a willingness to learn.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces where required.
• Physically fit and capable of manual work.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Minimum of 4 GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths, English, and a Science subject.
