Apprentice Electrician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and eager Apprentice Electrician to join their team in Southampton . This is an outstanding opportunity to train and qualify as a certified electrician, learning from experienced professionals on a variety of domestic, commercial, and industrial projects. You will be involved in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, gaining comprehensive knowledge and practical skills. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, have a keen interest in electrical work, and are committed to developing a successful career in the trade.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist qualified electricians in the installation of wiring, conduits, and electrical components.
• Learn and practice safe methods for testing electrical circuits and systems.
• Support in the diagnosis and repair of electrical faults and malfunctions.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Ensure all work complies with the latest BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations and health and safety standards.
• Maintain tools and equipment, and keep work areas clean and organized.

Requirements

• Must have or be working towards achieving a Level 2 qualification in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of basic electrical principles and safety protocols.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces when required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• A valid UK driving license is advantageous for site travel in Hampshire .
