About the Role

Our client is seeking motivated individuals to join their team as Apprentice Joiners in Stoke-on-Trent . This is a superb opportunity to learn the craft of joinery, working in both workshop and site environments to produce and install high-quality timber components. You will be involved in everything from initial measurements and cutting to the final fitting of structures and fittings. We are looking for candidates with a passion for working with wood, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to developing professional skills. This apprenticeship offers a clear path to a rewarding career in a respected trade within the Stoke-on-Trent region.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the measurement, marking out, cutting, and shaping of timber.
• Construct and assemble components such as doors, windows, staircases, and cupboards.
• Fit and install joinery items on construction sites or within a workshop.
• Maintain and sharpen hand and power tools used in joinery.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and plans accurately.
• Ensure all work adheres to safety regulations and quality standards.

Requirements

• A keen interest in joinery and woodworking.
• Minimum of 3 GCSEs at grade A-C (9-4) including Maths and English, or equivalent.
• Good practical skills and manual dexterity.
• An eye for detail and precision in your work.
• Willingness to travel to sites within the Stoke-on-Trent area and attend college for formal training.
