Job Description
Introduction
As an Apprentice Maintenance Engineer, you will work alongside our experienced engineering team to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to become a qualified maintenance engineer. You will gain hands‑on experience maintaining and repairing manufacturing equipment while completing your engineering apprenticeship.

What You'll Do
- Assist with maintaining, servicing and repairing production machinery.
- Support engineers with fault finding and responding to equipment breakdowns.
- Learn preventative maintenance techniques to improve machinery performance and reliability.
- Gain experience working with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Help install, test and commission new equipment.
- Use hand and power tools safely while developing practical workshop skills, including cutting, grinding and welding.
- Complete maintenance records using the company's management system.
- Work with engineering and production teams to support efficient factory operations.
- Follow health and safety procedures and maintain high standards of housekeeping.
- Fully participate in your apprenticeship programme, attending training sessions and developing your technical skills and knowledge.
Training Outcome
This role could lead to a full time, permanent role as Maintenance Engineer within the engineering team, growth into team leader or manager position is possible in the long-term future.
