About the Role

Our client is offering a unique opportunity for aspiring tradespeople to become Apprentice Plasterers in Sunderland . This apprenticeship will provide you with the essential skills and knowledge to excel in the trade, combining hands-on work experience with formal training. You will be involved in preparing surfaces, mixing plaster, and applying various finishes to walls and ceilings in residential and commercial properties. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for plastering, including cleaning, scraping, and repairing imperfections.
• Mix plastering materials to the correct consistency according to specifications.
• Apply coats of plaster or stucco to interior and exterior walls and ceilings using trowels, brushes, and other tools.
• Create decorative finishes and textures as required by project designs.
• Follow technical drawings and instructions to ensure accurate application.
• Maintain tools and equipment, and ensure a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements

• A genuine interest in a career in plastering or the construction trade.
• Minimum of 3 GCSEs at grade A-C (9-4) including Maths and English, or equivalent.
• Good physical fitness and manual dexterity.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
• Willingness to travel to various sites within the Sunderland region and attend college for theoretical training.
