Apprentice Plasterer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an aspiring Apprentice Plasterer to join their construction team based in Sheffield . This apprenticeship offers a hands-on pathway to mastering the trade of plastering, providing essential skills for a successful career in the construction industry. You will learn from experienced tradespeople, gaining practical experience in preparing surfaces, applying plaster, and finishing to a high standard. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work and wants to contribute to building and renovating properties.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist skilled plasterers in preparing surfaces for plaster application, including cleaning and applying bonding agents.
• Learn and practice the application of various plastering materials, such as render, skim coat, and dry lining.
• Gain experience in measuring, cutting, and fixing plasterboard.
• Assist in mixing plaster and other materials to the correct consistency.
• Ensure work areas are kept clean and tidy, and tools are maintained properly.

Requirements

• A strong interest in practical, hands-on work within the construction trade.
• Good physical fitness and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work as part of a team and take direction.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Minimum of 3 GCSEs, including Maths, or equivalent.
