About the Role
Our client is offering a dynamic Apprentice Web Developer - Full Stack position in Sunderland . This apprenticeship is designed for passionate individuals who want to build a career in web development, covering both front-end and back-end technologies. You will gain practical experience in designing, coding, testing, and maintaining websites and web applications under the guidance of experienced developers. This role provides an excellent foundation in modern web development practices and tools, with a clear path for growth within a forward-thinking company.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn and apply front-end development skills using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
- Assist in developing and maintaining back-end services and APIs using languages such as Python, Node.js, or PHP.
- Participate in database design and management (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
- Collaborate with designers and product managers to implement user interface features.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, adhering to coding standards.
- Engage in testing procedures, including unit and integration testing, to ensure code quality.
Requirements
- A strong interest in web development and a commitment to learning full-stack technologies.
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C/4 or above, including English and Maths, or a Level 2 qualification in a related IT field.
- Basic understanding of programming concepts or previous exposure to coding is advantageous.
- Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
