Key Responsibilities

• Conducting tree surveys and inspections to assess health, structural integrity, and identify potential hazards.
• Enforcing tree preservation orders and responding to related enquiries and objections.
• Providing expert advice on tree management strategies, planting schemes, and pruning techniques.
• Managing contracts with external arboricultural service providers, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Developing and implementing strategies for pest and disease control in urban trees.
• Liaising with local authorities, developers, and the public on all matters relating to trees in London .

Requirements

• A professional qualification in Arboriculture, Forestry, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in professional tree care or management.
• In-depth knowledge of tree species, physiology, diseases, and pests relevant to the UK climate.
• Familiarity with relevant legislation, including the Town and Country Planning Act.
• Proficiency in using tree inventory software and GIS systems.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly.
