About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of trees on public land to assess health, structural integrity, and potential risks.

• Respond to public inquiries and concerns regarding trees, providing expert advice and solutions.
• Enforce tree preservation orders and relevant legislation, investigating breaches and taking appropriate action.
• Liaise with contractors, developers, and other stakeholders on arboricultural matters.
• Maintain accurate records of tree surveys, management activities, and related correspondence.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Arboriculture, Forestry, or a related field.
• Proven experience in practical tree inspection, surveying, and management.
• In-depth knowledge of tree species, diseases, pests, and UK tree legislation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with the public and professionals.
• Proficiency in using relevant software for data recording and mapping.
