About the Role
Our client, a renowned environmental services firm, is seeking a certified Arborist to join their remote team, undertaking projects primarily in the Bristol and South West England region, though the role is fully remote. This position requires expertise in the care and management of trees, ensuring their health, safety, and aesthetic value in diverse environments, from urban settings to large estates. You will conduct tree risk assessments, implement pruning and maintenance plans, and advise clients on tree preservation strategies. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled arborist who values autonomy and the ability to manage their workload effectively from a remote location.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive tree risk assessments and hazard evaluations.
- Execute professional pruning, trimming, and shaping of trees according to industry standards.
- Safely remove trees when necessary, employing proper rigging and dismantling techniques.
- Diagnose and treat tree diseases and pest infestations.
- Develop and implement long-term tree care and maintenance plans for clients.
- Advise clients on tree selection, planting, and site suitability.
Requirements
- Certification as a Certified Arborist by a recognized professional body (e.g., ISA).
- Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in arboriculture.
- Proficiency in climbing techniques, aerial lift operation, and safe use of chainsaws.
- Strong knowledge of tree biology, pests, diseases, and soil science.
- Ability to produce detailed written reports and client recommendations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and physical fitness for demanding outdoor work.
