About the Role
Our client is searching for a skilled and certified Arborist to join their dedicated tree care team serving the Bradford area and surrounding West Yorkshire. This role involves the safe and efficient maintenance, health assessment, and management of trees in urban and rural environments. You will be responsible for pruning, felling, planting, and providing expert advice on tree health and preservation. This is an outdoor, physically demanding role for a professional committed to the highest standards of arboriculture and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform tree pruning , shaping, and thinning to maintain tree health, safety, and aesthetics.
- Safely dismantle and remove trees, including difficult or hazardous removals, using appropriate rigging techniques.
- Conduct regular tree inspections to assess health, identify risks, and recommend appropriate treatment plans.
- Plant new trees, ensuring proper species selection and planting techniques for successful establishment.
- Operate and maintain chainsaws, chippers, climbing gear, and other arboricultural equipment.
- Advise clients on tree care best practices and management strategies.
Requirements
- Certified Arborist qualification (e.g., RFS Certificate in Arboriculture, Lantra Awards).
- Proven experience in professional tree care and climbing.
- Proficiency in using chainsaws, rigging, and aerial rescue techniques.
- Strong knowledge of tree species, physiology, pests, and diseases.
- Valid UK driving license and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
