About the Role
Our client is seeking an ambitious and talented Architectural Assistant (Part II) to join their forward-thinking practice in Sunderland . This role offers an excellent opportunity for a developing professional to gain broad experience across a range of exciting projects, including commercial, residential, and masterplanning schemes. You will work closely with a team of experienced architects and designers, contributing to all phases of the design and delivery process. Operating under a hybrid working model, you will balance valuable in-office collaboration with the flexibility of remote work, contributing to the vibrant architectural landscape of the North East .
Key Responsibilities
- Assist architects in the preparation of design concepts, drawings, and visualisations.
- Develop detailed drawings and models using Revit and AutoCAD for planning applications and building regulations.
- Support the team in coordinating with consultants and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct site visits and surveys under supervision to gather essential project information.
- Help prepare documentation for tender and construction phases.
- Research materials, building technologies, and best practices to inform design decisions.
Requirements
- Part II qualification from a recognized School of Architecture.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; experience with Adobe Creative Suite is advantageous.
- A foundational understanding of UK planning and building regulations.
- Strong design and presentation skills, with a keen interest in sustainable design.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a proactive attitude.
- A portfolio showcasing relevant design and technical work.
