About the Role
Our client is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Architectural Designer to join their dynamic practice in Cardiff . This role offers a blend of creative design and technical execution, contributing to the development of innovative architectural solutions for a range of exciting projects. You will work closely with senior architects and project teams, playing a key role from initial concept sketches through to detailed design development and support during the construction phase. This is an excellent opportunity for a budding designer to expand their portfolio and hone their skills within a supportive, collaborative, and hybrid working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of design proposals, presentations, and architectural drawings .
- Develop detailed design concepts, including 2D and 3D visualizations and models.
- Contribute to technical documentation, specifications, and planning applications.
- Collaborate effectively with the project team, consultants, and clients to achieve design objectives.
- Research and propose innovative materials, technologies, and design solutions.
- Support the project architect in ensuring design quality and compliance with regulations.
Requirements
- A degree in Architecture or a related design discipline.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and the Adobe Creative Suite.
- A strong portfolio showcasing design talent and conceptual thinking.
- Understanding of UK planning and building regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present design ideas clearly.
- Experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential for enthusiastic candidates.
