About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and dedicated Architectural Technician to join their well-established practice in Portsmouth . This role is fundamental in producing high-quality technical drawings, specifications, and documentation essential for the successful execution of architectural projects. You will work closely with architects and project managers, ensuring designs are accurately translated into buildable information that adheres to all relevant building regulations and standards. The successful candidate will be highly organised, technically proficient, and keen to contribute to a collaborative, office-based team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, construction details, and working drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Assist in the preparation of specifications, schedules, and tender documentation.
- Ensure all technical documentation complies with current UK Building Regulations, planning policies, and health and safety standards.
- Coordinate with consultants, engineers, and contractors to integrate their information into project drawings.
- Undertake site visits to gather information, monitor progress, and resolve technical queries.
- Maintain accurate and organised project files and documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Architectural Technician or a similar technical role.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential.
- Good understanding of UK building regulations and construction practices.
- Ability to produce clear, accurate, and detailed technical drawings.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant qualification (e.g., HNC/HND in Construction or Architectural Technology).
