Architectural Technician

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and proactive Architectural Technician to join their well-established practice in Norwich . This role is focused on translating architectural designs into comprehensive technical drawings and specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with building regulations. You will play a key role in supporting the architectural team throughout the design development and construction phases, contributing to a variety of projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, excellent CAD skills, and a commitment to producing high-quality construction documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed technical drawings, plans, elevations, and sections using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Prepare specifications and schedules for materials and construction elements.
• Ensure all technical drawings comply with current Building Regulations and standards.
• Liaise with contractors and consultants to resolve technical queries during construction.
• Conduct site inspections to verify construction against design information.
• Assist architects and designers in the development of design proposals.

Requirements

• HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Architectural Technology or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Architectural Technician .
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Good understanding of UK building regulations and construction methods.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
