About the Role
Our client, a well-established architectural practice based in Sheffield , is seeking a diligent and skilled Architectural Technician to support their project teams. This role is essential for translating architectural designs into precise technical drawings and documentation required for planning applications and construction. You will work closely with architects and designers, playing a key role in ensuring the technical accuracy and feasibility of projects across various sectors, including residential, commercial, and industrial. Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed architectural drawings, plans, elevations, sections, and schedules using CAD software.
- Assist architects in developing design proposals and preparing planning application submissions.
- Coordinate with engineers and other consultants to integrate their technical information into architectural drawings.
- Ensure all technical documentation complies with current UK building regulations and technical standards.
- Conduct site visits to gather information and verify site conditions as required.
- Manage and organize project drawing files and documentation efficiently.
Requirements
- HND or Degree in Architectural Technology or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Architectural Technician , preferably within an architectural practice.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; experience with Revit is highly advantageous.
- A solid understanding of UK building regulations, construction methods, and materials.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in producing technical drawings.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
