About the Role

Our client, a reputable architectural practice based in Edinburgh , is seeking a skilled Architectural Technician to join their design team. You will play a vital role in translating architectural concepts into detailed technical drawings and specifications, working closely with architects and designers to bring projects to life. Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed technical drawings and construction documentation using CAD and BIM software.
• Assist architects in the development of design proposals and presentations.
• Coordinate with consultants, engineers, and contractors to ensure design intent is met.
• Prepare drawings for planning applications and building regulations submissions.
• Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions and monitor construction progress.
• Ensure all technical documentation complies with relevant standards and regulations.

Requirements

• HNC/HND or Degree qualification in Architectural Technology or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Architectural Technician or similar role.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and BIM software (e.g., Revit).
• Strong understanding of UK building regulations and construction methods.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drawing production.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
