Architectural Technician

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and technically proficient Architectural Technician to join their respected practice based in Belfast . This role is crucial for translating conceptual designs into detailed, accurate technical documentation ready for construction. You will be responsible for producing high-quality drawings and specifications, ensuring all work complies with current building regulations and technical standards. Working within a collaborative team environment, you will contribute to a variety of exciting projects, playing a key role in delivering well-executed architectural solutions across Northern Ireland .

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed technical drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and construction details using CAD software .
• Develop and maintain Building Information Models (BIM) to support project coordination and documentation.
• Prepare specifications for materials, finishes, and building systems.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, and local authorities to resolve technical queries and ensure project progression.
• Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with design drawings and specifications.

Requirements

• HND/HNC or degree in Architectural Technology or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Architectural Technician, with a strong portfolio of technical work.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential.
• Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction best practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
