Architectural Technician

About the Role

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Architectural Technician to join their growing team in Derby . This role focuses on the technical aspects of architectural projects, ensuring that designs are accurately translated into buildable information. You will work closely with architects and other professionals to produce detailed drawings, specifications, and manage the technical coordination necessary for planning and construction phases. The role involves site visits and close collaboration within a hybrid working structure, offering a blend of office-based teamwork and remote flexibility. Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed technical drawings, construction plans, and specifications using CAD and BIM software.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of planning applications and building regulations documentation.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, and suppliers to resolve technical queries during construction.
• Conduct site surveys and inspections to monitor project progress and quality.
• Research and recommend appropriate building materials and systems.
• Ensure compliance with current building standards and health and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification such as HNC/HND or Degree in Architectural Technology.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience as an Architectural Technician .
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is essential.
• Solid understanding of UK building regulations and construction practices.
• Ability to manage technical documentation and project coordination.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to accuracy.
