About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Architectural Technician to join their innovative design studio in Bristol . This hybrid role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a variety of exciting projects while enjoying the flexibility of balancing office and remote work. You will be responsible for producing high-quality technical drawings, specifications, and BIM models, supporting the architectural team from concept design through to construction. Your technical expertise will be crucial in translating design ideas into buildable solutions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with building regulations. This role is perfect for a proactive individual passionate about design and technical detailing.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed architectural drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and details, using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Develop and manage 3D models and BIM information for various architectural projects.
- Assist in the preparation of planning applications, building regulations submissions, and tender packages.
- Conduct site visits to gather information, verify dimensions, and monitor construction progress.
- Liaise with external consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure coordination and information exchange.
- Ensure all technical drawings and documentation comply with relevant UK building regulations and standards.
Requirements
- HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Architectural Technology or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Architectural Technician or similar role.
- Proficiency in architectural design software, particularly Revit and AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of UK building regulations, planning policies, and construction methods.
- Excellent technical drawing and detailing skills.
- Good communication and organizational abilities, suitable for a hybrid working environment.
