Architectural Technologist - Remote

About the Role

Our client is seeking a technically proficient and detail-oriented Architectural Technologist to join their team, working entirely remotely from Cardiff . This role focuses on the technical aspects of design and construction, translating architectural concepts into buildable solutions. You will be responsible for producing detailed technical drawings, specifications, and ensuring compliance with building regulations and standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated technologist who excels in a remote work setting and possesses a strong understanding of construction processes and materials, contributing significantly to the successful delivery of diverse projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed technical drawings, construction details, and specifications using BIM software.
• Ensure designs comply with current UK building regulations, standards, and health and safety legislation.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve technical issues during design and construction phases.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents and contract administration.
• Conduct technical research and provide advice on materials and construction methods.
• Manage technical documentation and ensure it is up-to-date and accurate.

Requirements

• HNC/HND or Degree in Architectural Technology or a related field.
• Significant experience as an Architectural Technologist, ideally with exposure to various project types.
• Advanced proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, and AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction best practices.
• Excellent technical detailing skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills suitable for a remote working environment.
