Architectural Technologist

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Architectural Technologist to join their established practice in Milton Keynes . This role focuses on translating architectural designs into detailed technical documentation, ensuring practical and buildable solutions. You will work closely with architects and project managers, contributing significantly to the technical execution of a variety of construction projects. Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed technical drawings, construction details, and specifications using CAD software.
• Ensure designs comply with building regulations, technical standards, and health and safety legislation.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
• Conduct site surveys and inspections to verify site conditions and construction progress.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documentation and contract administration.
• Contribute to the technical review of design proposals and provide practical solutions.

Requirements

• HNC/HND or Degree in Architectural Technology or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Architectural Technologist in an architectural or construction setting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; knowledge of other relevant software is a plus.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building regulations in the Milton Keynes area.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in technical documentation.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
