Architectural Technologist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and talented Architectural Technologist to join their established practice in Coventry . In this role, you will play a crucial part in translating architectural designs into comprehensive technical drawings and specifications necessary for construction. You will work across a range of projects, ensuring technical feasibility, regulatory compliance, and cost-effectiveness. Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation using BIM software .
• Ensure all designs comply with current UK building regulations, planning standards, and health and safety legislation.
• Liaise with external consultants, contractors, and statutory bodies throughout the construction phase.
• Undertake site inspections to verify progress and quality of work against design intent.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for planning applications and building control submissions.

Requirements

• HND or Degree in Architectural Technology or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience as an Architectural Technologist in a UK practice.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is essential; knowledge of other CAD software is advantageous.
• In-depth understanding of construction processes, materials, and building services.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
