About the Role

Our client is seeking a creative and inspiring Art and Design Teacher to join a vibrant faculty in Plymouth . This role involves nurturing students' artistic talents and critical thinking skills, guiding them through various creative mediums and design principles across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that encourage experimentation, innovation, and a deep appreciation for art and design. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver stimulating lessons in Art and Design , covering a range of disciplines and techniques.
• Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and technical skill development in students.
• Prepare students for internal assessments and external examinations in Art and Design.
• Manage art resources and studio spaces effectively, ensuring a safe and inspiring environment.
• Collaborate with other faculty members to promote cross-curricular creative projects.
• Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students on their artistic development.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
• A degree in Art and Design or a related creative field.
• Experience teaching Art and Design at the secondary school level.
• Knowledge of various art techniques, historical movements, and contemporary design practices.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and practical skills.
• A passion for fostering creativity and artistic expression.
