About the Role

You will guide students through GCSE and A-Level courses, encouraging them to explore their artistic potential and develop a portfolio of work. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Art and Design lessons that stimulate creativity and technical proficiency.
• Teach across a range of media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, digital art, and photography.
• Assess student work, providing constructive feedback and guidance for improvement.
• Organise and curate student exhibitions and support their entry into external art competitions.
• Maintain a stimulating and well-equipped art studio environment, ensuring health and safety standards.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree or equivalent qualification in Art, Design, or a related creative field.
• Experience teaching Art and Design at the secondary level, including examination boards.
• Proficiency in a range of artistic techniques and digital art software.
• A passion for visual arts and a commitment to nurturing student creativity in Brighton .
