About the Role

Our client is looking for a creative and inspiring Art and Design Teacher to join a thriving department in a secondary school near Norwich . This role involves nurturing students' artistic talents, fostering creativity, and developing their understanding of art history, theory, and practical application across various mediums. You will guide students through challenging projects, encourage critical thinking about visual culture, and prepare them for further study or careers in creative industries. The successful candidate will be passionate about the arts and committed to providing a stimulating and supportive learning environment within a dedicated faculty.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective Art and Design lessons across secondary school levels.
• Develop students' skills in drawing, painting, sculpture, digital art, and other creative disciplines.
• Teach art history, theory, and critical analysis, encouraging students to explore diverse artistic movements and styles.
• Manage studio resources and ensure a safe and inspiring working environment for students.
• Assess student work, provide constructive feedback, and prepare students for internal and external examinations.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification.
• A strong portfolio and demonstrable expertise in various Art and Design disciplines.
• Experience teaching Art and Design at the secondary school level.
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire creativity.
• Familiarity with art software and digital creative tools is advantageous.
