About the Role

Our client is looking for a creative and inspiring Art and Design Teacher to foster artistic talent within a secondary school in Bristol . This role involves delivering dynamic lessons across various art disciplines, including drawing, painting, sculpture, digital art, and design. You will be responsible for encouraging students' creativity, developing their technical skills, and enabling them to explore diverse artistic concepts and movements. The ideal candidate will possess a strong portfolio of their own work and a passion for nurturing the next generation of artists and designers in a supportive and well-equipped studio environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and effective art and design lessons across key stages.
• Inspire students to develop their creativity, imagination, and technical proficiency in various art forms.
• Assess student artwork and provide constructive feedback to support their artistic growth.
• Curate student work for exhibitions and school events, celebrating their achievements.
• Maintain an inspiring and well-organised art studio, ensuring availability of materials and resources.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• A degree in Fine Art, Art and Design, or a related field.
• Experience teaching art and design at the secondary level.
• A strong portfolio showcasing artistic skills and a passion for art education.
• Excellent communication and motivational skills.
