Asset Integrity Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified Asset Integrity Engineer to join their dedicated engineering team in Derby . This role is crucial for ensuring the safety, reliability, and longevity of the company's physical assets through robust integrity management systems. You will develop and implement inspection, testing, and maintenance strategies for critical equipment and infrastructure. The successful candidate will contribute to minimizing operational risks, preventing failures, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, thereby safeguarding assets and personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing comprehensive asset integrity management (AIM) plans and strategies.
• Conducting risk-based inspections (RBIs) and fitness-for-service assessments for mechanical equipment, piping, and structures.
• Monitoring and analyzing inspection data to identify potential degradation mechanisms and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., PSSR, LOLER).
• Collaborating with operations, maintenance, and projects teams to address integrity issues and support turnaround activities.
• Managing vendor performance for integrity-related services and NDT activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in asset integrity, mechanical integrity, or a related engineering field.
• Strong understanding of corrosion, materials science, and degradation mechanisms affecting industrial assets.
• Experience with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods and interpretation.
• Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, BS).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
