Asset Integrity Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive Asset Integrity Engineer to join their operations in Norwich . This role is essential for ensuring the safety, reliability, and longevity of our client's offshore and onshore assets within the oil and gas sector . You will be responsible for developing and implementing integrity management strategies, overseeing inspection programs, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This position requires a strong technical background and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of asset safety and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive asset integrity management (AIM) plans for pipelines, vessels, and structures.
• Oversee and manage inspection, testing, and maintenance programs to ensure asset integrity.
• Conduct risk-based integrity assessments and identify potential failure mechanisms.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., PSSR, DSEAR).
• Investigate integrity-related incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Liaise with third-party inspection agencies and service providers.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in asset integrity management, preferably in the oil and gas or chemical industry .
• Strong knowledge of NDT methods, corrosion management, and mechanical integrity principles.
• Experience with risk-based inspection (RBI) methodologies and software.
• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., API, ASME, ISO).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
