Asset Manager - Renewable Energy

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Asset Manager to oversee their portfolio of renewable energy assets, including wind and solar farms, based in Nottingham . This role is responsible for maximizing the financial and operational performance of these assets throughout their lifecycle. You will manage relationships with O&M providers, ensure compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements, and drive continuous improvement in energy production and efficiency. This is a key position for someone passionate about renewable energy and driven by achieving outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of renewable energy assets , focusing on optimizing performance, availability, and revenue.
• Oversee the activities of Operations & Maintenance (O&M) service providers, ensuring service level agreements are met.
• Monitor asset performance using data analytics, identifying and addressing underperformance issues.
• Manage contractual obligations, including power purchase agreements (PPAs) and grid connection agreements.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Develop and manage asset budgets, forecasts, and financial performance reporting.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in asset management , project management, or operations within the renewable energy sector .
• Strong understanding of wind and/or solar technologies and their operational characteristics.
• Proven experience in financial analysis, performance monitoring, and contract management.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of the UK energy market and regulatory landscape is advantageous.
