Assistant Design Manager

Assistant Design Manager - Central London* Our client, a well-established main contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering complex commercial refurbishment and cut & carve projects across Central London, is looking to appoint an Assistant Design Manager with a architectural engineering bias to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Design Manager looking to work on high-profile commercial schemes involving major structural alterations, heavy refurbishment and high-specification fit out projects within challenging city-centre environments. Reporting directly to a Design Manager, you will play a key role in managing and coordinating the design process from pre-construction through to project completion across multiple commercial projects. Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and coordinating the full design process across multiple commercial schemes
• Reviewing structural, architectural and consultant design information
• Leading consultant coordination meetings and driving design team performance
• Identifying and resolving buildability, sequencing and technical challenges
• Managing design programmes and information release schedules
• Liaising closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and site teams
• Ensuring compliance with current UK Building Regulations and statutory requirements This role would either suit either an existing Assistant Design Co-ordinator from a main contractor background with previous experience delivering commercial refurbishment and cut & carve projects, or a jobrunning Architect with commercial project delivery experience.
