About the Role
Our client is seeking an ambitious and eager Assistant Financial Accountant to support their finance team in Belfast . You will be involved in a range of financial accounting tasks, contributing to the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records. Working within a hybrid model, you will collaborate closely with the finance manager and other team members, gaining valuable experience and exposure to various financial processes. This position is ideal for individuals looking to build a solid foundation in financial accounting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports.
- Support the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and process depreciation.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required.
Requirements
- AAT qualification or working towards ACCA/CIMA/ACA.
- Prior experience in a financial accounting or bookkeeping role.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
