Assistant Financial Accountant

About the Role

Our client is seeking an ambitious and eager Assistant Financial Accountant to support their finance team in Belfast . Working within a hybrid model, you will collaborate closely with the finance manager and other team members, gaining valuable experience and exposure to various financial processes. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports.
• Support the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and process depreciation.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required.

Requirements

• AAT qualification or working towards ACCA/CIMA/ACA.
• Prior experience in a financial accounting or bookkeeping role.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
